Neck Renewal: What to Expect

Here's what the process looks like, from your first visit to the months that follow.
We talk first
We look at your neck and décolleté in different light and positions, and ask what you've noticed and what you'd like to see. We'll also go over your health history, medications, and any past treatments. Sometimes the plan is simple. Sometimes we suggest another approach, or waiting.
The treatment
The area is cleansed and numbed for comfort, and your injector places the product carefully across the neck and, if planned, the décolleté. Most people feel pressure and mild tenderness.
The first days
Mild swelling, tenderness, and occasional bruising are common and usually settle within about one to two weeks. We'll give you aftercare instructions, which may include a gentle massage routine, and we'll show you exactly how to do it if so.
The months that follow
Change happens gradually, since collagen is built slowly. Most people begin to see subtle improvements after several weeks, with more over the following months. Some people have a series of sessions, and we'll plan it around you.
What to expect
Skin that looks a little smoother, firmer, and healthier. It's a quiet change, and people tend to say you look well, not that you've had something done.
Looking after your results
Daily sunscreen on your neck and chest does more for long-term skin health than almost anything else, and it's worth making a habit.
How long it lasts
Often many months to a year or longer, depending on the product and your skin. We'll talk about follow-up based on how you look and feel, not a fixed schedule.
If you're local to Carlsbad Village, we're happy to walk you through it in person.
